Cucina Stellata Enigma Solution — Writing Puzzle Guide
All four Cucina Stellata Enigma direction sequences for the writing puzzle, how a wrong input resets the current form, and where the puzzle fits in the run.
What is the Cucina Stellata Enigma solution?
The Enigma (also called the writing puzzle) is a four-form direction minigame on a six-point circle after the kitchen story peaks. You tap compass points in order; all four forms must succeed to move on. Exact tap lists are in the spoiler section below—they match across a Steam Community guide, IndieTome, Guidexon, and 9to5Gaming.
Pair this with the walkthrough for when the journal sends you to write, and with key locations if you still owe dresser keys before the ending.
How the wheel works (no sequence spoilers)
- The UI shows six directions around a circle (top, bottom, diagonals—wording varies by guide).
- Each form is its own ordered list; lengths run 4 → 6 → 7 → 8 inputs.
- IndieTome says a wrong choice burns the page and restarts that form. Guidexon and 9to5Gaming describe the same punishment in softer words (“one wrong move messes things up”). Treat any mistake as restart the current form from step one.
- Completing all four forms advances the story toward the ending branch covered in ending explained.
Before you start typing directions
- Finish urgent key tasks if you still need letters—Continue can reset halves.
- Read the active recipe / journal prompt so you do not skip an Enigma trigger (walkthrough).
- Work one form at a time; memorize or keep this page open on a second device if needed.

Guides swap “top” vs “up” and “bottom” vs “down” for the same spoke. If a input fails, check you are using the diagonal vs cardinal called out in the list—not a mirrored direction.
After the Enigma
Continue the finale meal, resolve the dresser keys if anything remains, and plan for credits. The optional secret scene needs keys and letters finished first—see secret ending.
