Cucina Stellata Key Locations — All 3 Keys & Six Halves
Where to find all six Cucina Stellata key pieces, how they form three keys, and when to grab them before Continue resets progress.
Where are all three keys in Cucina Stellata?
You need six physical halves hidden around the kitchen and cellar, not three loose pickups sitting in plain sight. Steam’s “Old Letters Achievements” guide (MOZY), the bilingual 100% Achievement Guide, and independent sites (Treyex, The Games Edge, GrindnStrat) name the same six rooms. Pick them up during normal cooking—especially cellar trips—then assemble three keys, insert each into the dresser, and read the letters for the letter achievements and secret ending.
If you hit Continue or return from the menu mid-hunt, key progress may reset; read Continue reset keys before you start.
Before you hunt
- One session: Community guides and a developer Steam reply recommend finishing collection without menu reloads.
- Insert, don’t hoard: Picking up halves alone does not unlock drawers—you must use each completed key on the dresser.
- Pair with the route map: The walkthrough lists when cellar access opens each round.
Sources disagree on names, not on rooms
| Framing | What it emphasizes | Our use on this page |
|---|---|---|
| Six halves → three keys (MOZY, Treyex, The Games Edge) | Half A + Half B = Key 1, and so on | Primary step list below |
| Handles + tips (IndieTome secrets hub) | Two part types you combine at drawers | Explained in sidebar; same rooms when cross-checked |
Sources disagree on two IndieTome-only tip spots (cupboard books and cereal sack on shelves). No second independent guide we checked places tips there, so those details are omitted rather than guessed.
When each half becomes available
Timing comes from the Steam 100% Achievement Guide (six numbered parts) cross-checked with Treyex:
| Phase | What opens | Halves tied to this phase |
|---|---|---|
| Before / during Round 1 | Buffet kitchen | Cupboard half (guides differ on whether this is before dish 1 or during Round 2 prep) |
| Round 2+ | Basement access | Stair half, cheese-shelf box, loose brick |
| Round 3 | Bread moved for offal crostini | Half behind the loaf |
| Round 4 | Spider event during service | Crucifix half after chase |
Exact objective text still beats any checklist—use the walkthrough if the cellar door is not open yet.

Six half locations (verified cluster)
Use any order, but pair them into three keys as shown in the next section.
1. Cellar staircase
When you walk between the kitchen and cellar, check the steps (MOZY: “cellar staircase”; Treyex: “basement staircase”). Interact to pick up the half.
2. Kitchen cupboard
Open the cupboard called out in MOZY’s first key section (independent guides describe a buffet cupboard in the kitchen). The second half of Key 1 is inside.
3. Beside the bread
During Round 3 prep, guides say you can move the bread and take the half behind the loaf near the wooden cabinet.
4. Box under the cheese shelf (cellar)
In the cellar, find the shelf with cheese. Open the box on the shelf below (tap until the lid opens) to reveal a half (MOZY + The Games Edge + GrindnStrat).
5. Spider chase → crucifix
- Open the upper-left cupboard to start the spider.
- Tap the spider each time it relocates around the kitchen.
- When it reaches the crucifix by the front door, tap again so the crucifix falls and exposes a half.
Steam commenters note the spider can be hard to see—keep tapping along its path.
6. Loose brick by kegs
In the cellar beside the large kegs, interact with the loose brick repeatedly until it comes free and drops the final half.
How halves pair into three keys
MOZY’s Steam guide groups halves in discovery order:
| Completed key | First half | Second half |
|---|---|---|
| Key 1 | Cellar staircase | Kitchen cupboard |
| Key 2 | Beside the bread | Cheese-shelf box |
| Key 3 | Spider / crucifix | Loose brick |
The Games Edge uses the same triplets with different wording. We do not publish alternate numeric “piece 1 + piece 4” labels because only one wiki listed that scheme without a matching Steam guide.
Using keys on the dresser
With three assembled keys:
- Interact with the dresser locks (guides call them drawers).
- Read each old letter inside—this triggers The Soil of Evil, The Seed of Evil, and The Fruit of Evil when conditions match Steam’s achievement text.
- Finish the run and stay through credits for Morning Star (secret ending, achievements).
Quick checklist

- Bread half
- Cheese-box half → Key 2 inserted
- Spider half
- Brick half → Key 3 inserted
- All three letters read
- No Continue until secret route done (continue-key-reset)
